”A Brush With Nature” paintings by Chris Moule

Official Opening  2-5pm, Sunday 5th August.

For Chris Moule, a realist artist, who uses a variety of different mediums, oil, pen and ink, acrylic, pastel and watercolour, inspiration comes from a variety  of sources, the natural beauty of the Australian Bush, creeks and rivers, reflected sunlight, sparkling beaches, towering gums, the Flinders Ranges, the Grampians, a country lane or an old bridge.  Sunrise to sunset, winter or summer, he captures the changing light on canvas.

He has a love of beautiful scenery and an eye for detail that lets him faithfully reproduce what he sees.  By putting nature in a frame, he is able to share what he sees and give others the pleasure or a little bit of history.  His eye for detail is evident in his pen and ink drawing of McClure’s Bridge, which is on permanent display at the Castlemaine Art Gallery.

Chris loves to paint en plein air, his oil paintings reflecting his love of landscape and nature.  He likes to lose himself in his paintings and hopes people looking at them can picture themselves in the landscape.
